Justin McCully has joined our Voting Rights Initiatives team as a law clerk. Justin grew up in Bellevue and graduated from the University of Nebraska with a degree in economics and political science. He was an opinion writer for the Daily Nebraskan, writing primarily on the 2016 election and national politics.
Also, he was chief of staff for the University of Nebraska Residence Hall Association, a student body representing all residence halls on campus.
Justin is a third-year law student at U. Nebraska Law. His favorite areas of study have been Constitutional law, federal courts, telecommunications law, and antitrust law.
“I’m excited to work with Civic Nebraska and use my law degree for the betterment of my fellow Nebraskans,” he said.
Outside of classes, Justin also was a law clerk for the Nebraska Department of Justice and clerked for the District Court of Lancaster County. Justin also was a class representative in the Student Bar Association.
