Service learning is an experiential, collaborative method of teaching that connects academic learning to community-identified service opportunities. Service learning is a high-impact teaching practice that provides real-world application of classroom curriculum. Service learning promotes workforce skills such as communication, leadership, problem-solving, and critical thinking while utilizing asset-based community engagement.
