National Voter Registration Day

National Voter Registration Day is a nonpartisan civic holiday celebrating our democracy. First observed in 2012, it has quickly gained momentum ever since. Nearly 4.7 million voters have registered to vote on the holiday to date.
This year, our Voting Rights Initiatives staff will share key registration skills and practice voter engagement strategies during a fast-paced and inspiring workshop. Here are the important details for you to know:

What: Training for voter registration, practicing these skills, discussion, plus voter registration kits for each participant

When: 2 to 4 pm Tuesday, Sept. 20

Where: Center for People in Need, 3901 N. 27th St. in Lincoln
Following the workshop, we’ll provide voter registration assistance to those who visit the Center for People in Need’s 4 pm food distribution program.
