5 things about Quinn Knispel, policy intern

Hello! My name is Quinn Knispel, and I’m a policy intern at Civic Nebraska this summer. I will be a senior at Nebraska Wesleyan University, and I am majoring in social work. As a part of my major, I will also complete my practicum experience this fall at Civic Nebraska. I’m looking forward to immersing myself in and learning from my new organization!
Here are five things about me.

1. I love trying new outdoor activities.

Last year, I got my scuba diving certification, tried skiing for the first time, and also ran my first half marathon. I also really love going for walks, doing yoga, golfing, and hiking in new places.

2. Community involvement brings me joy.

Part of why I love Civic Nebraska is because of how community-focused we are. I think people live happier lives when they are a part of a community and something with a larger purpose.

3. I enjoy singing and attending music-related events.

I have participated in musical, show choir, band, and different choral groups throughout my life. I am also obsessed with going to concerts and music festivals!

4. When I need to relax, I look at houses for sale!

Something my family did for weekend fun when I was growing up was attend open houses with no intention of moving. Now, I really enjoy looking at Zillow and going to open houses to get ideas for my future home.

5. I am addicted to the New York Times games.

They are a part of my morning routine and I think they wake my brain up for the day!
