After a long weekend of sales and screens, you may already feel swept up by this year’s holiday rush. Then Tuesday arrives, and the focus shifts. Giving Tuesday brings us back to the communities we share and the people who keep Nebraska strong.

Giving Tuesday creates space to consider a fundamental question: What kind of community do we want to build together? And then it invites us to contribute. It’s a global moment of generosity, but its impact remains rooted in local action. Across Nebraska, nonprofits respond every day to urgent needs, emerging challenges, and long-term goals that shape our civic life. They are central to how our state solves problems and supports neighbors.

Civic Nebraska will again take part this year. Giving Tuesday gifts to our organization help ensure fair elections, strong communities, and opportunities for young Nebraskans to lead. And through our $25,000 Democracy Challenge match, every gift will be doubled, multiplying the impact of your support when it matters most.
