Vote with Ballot Builder. Vote with confidence.

Civic Nebraska is rolling out a new, free, easy-to-use tool to give voters in Omaha and Lincoln confidence at the ballot box this spring. Ballot Builder is an interactive, nonpartisan voter guide that offers a clear, personalized look at the races and initiatives on voters’ ballots – no surprises, no guesswork.

Using Ballot Builder is simple: Head to civicnebraska.branch.vote, enter your address, and instantly get an interactive sample ballot tailored to your district.

The tool provides:

›› A complete breakdown of every race and initiative in Omaha and Lincoln’s city elections.

›› Nonpartisan candidate bios, positions, and summaries so voters can make informed choices.

›› The power to mark selections in advance and save them for quick reference on Election Day.

“We know local elections shape the communities we live in, but too often, voters show up at the polls without knowing everything on their ballot,” said Clara Wilson, Civic Nebraska’s director of voting rights. “Ballot Builder changes that. It gives voters the confidence and knowledge they need to make informed decisions about their city’s future.”

Ballot Builder, integrated into Civic Nebraska’s 2025 Election Central hub, is mobile-friendly and works on any device – no accounts, no downloads, and no cost. Whether at home, on the go, or standing in line at your polling place, your customized ballot is always just a tap away.

With Omaha’s city primary on April 1, Lincoln’s on April 8, and the general elections in May (Lincoln on May 6, Omaha on May 13), now’s the time to prepare. Civic Nebraska is making Ballot Builder a key part of our voter outreach efforts, both on the ground and online.

“From in-person voter engagement to digital campaigns, we’re making sure Ballot Builder reaches as many Nebraskans as possible,” Wilson said. “This tool is going to be a game-changer for busy voters.”
