Join us Feb. 10 to discuss key ’25 legislation

Mark your calendars for 7 pm CST on Feb. 10! Civic NebraskaCommon Cause of Nebraska, and the League of Women Voters of Nebraska will host an informational session on Zoom to prepare voters for the upcoming legislative debate for LB541, which would severely roll back Nebraskans’ voting rights.

We’ll also look at several proposed constitutional amendments (LR7CALR19CALR25CA, and LR27CA) that suggest changes to senators’ compensation – at long last, our elected lawmakers make only $12,000 annually. Another proposed amendment seeks to add a third consecutive term to senators’ tenure before term limits would be triggered. We’ll discuss the pros and cons of these measures and share our organizations’ positions.

Participants will learn more about these critical issue areas and get to ask questions of hosts Heidi Uhing (Civic Nebraska), Gavin Geis (Common Cause), and Rachel Gibson (LWV). It’s open to all – and all Nebraska voters are encouraged to attend.

Register here to join us on Feb. 10!

Thanks for all that you do,
