Our 2024 Civic Valentines

Happy Valentine’s Day! Here is our 2024 edition of Civic Valentines, a  yearly  tradition  here at Civic Nebraska, your defenders of democracy in the Cornhusker State. Enjoy! And of course, be sure to share them with your democracy-loving sweeties!

AI is everywhere, but true love lasts.

Netflix and Chill? Nah, let’s #NeLeg and Bill.  Follow voting rights-related bills at our 2024 Bill Tracker.

I say semantic, you say pedantic – let’s call the whole thing off.

The Nebraska primary is May 14. Visit our 2024 Election Central hub for voting resources, including registering to vote.

Sure, America’s birthday is not until early July, but we’re cool if unattached Nebraskans celebrate with some flag-waving and fireworks today.

Nebraska’s first female governor (1987-1991), Kay Orr also made U.S. history as the first Republican woman to be elected to the top office of any state. If that’s not worth a valentine of its own, we don’t know what is.

Between the chocolate, flowers, and serenades on Valentine’s Day, please be sure to take time to tell the Nebraska Legislature that LB1211 would make elections harder for everyone, including our state’s dedicated election workers.
