Bobby Larsen has joined our Voting Rights Advocacy team as a law clerk for the 2018-19 academic year.
Bobby, a native of Papillion, graduated from the University of Nebraska with a degree in political science. While at Nebraska U., he was active on the speech team, in which he was a five-time state finalist and three-time national competitor. He also was secretary for Pi Sigma Alpha, a national political science honor society.
This month, Bobby began his first year at the University of Nebraska College of Law, having a full ride scholarship to Nebraska Law. Bobby says he wants to spend his career working in Nebraska and using his law degree “to help those most in need of it.”
Outside of school, Bobby has spent much of the past two years working on advocacy issues, political campaigns, teaching at the Literacy Center of the Midlands, and tutoring at Creighton University’s Educational Opportunity Center with ESL students.
He was also a dedicated voting rights volunteer throughout the last session of the Nebraska Legislature.
Civic Nebraska is pleased to have Bobby on our team to assist in doing research, helping to coordinate our organization’s get-out-the-vote efforts for the November general election, and other important work as we continue to build a more modern and robust democracy for all Nebraskans. Welcome, Bobby!
