SUMMARY:Lincoln CLCs Walk Together
DESCRIPTION:Lincoln Community Learning Centers\, together with Family Service Lincoln\, Northeast Family Center\, YMCA of Lincoln\, and Civic Nebraska\, are hosting the first-ever Walk Together project from 5:30 to 7 pm on Friday\, March 4\, in the University Place Neighborhood.\n\nStudents in several of the local schools (K-12) have been learning about the rich history behind art\, slam poetry/spoken word\, and textile projects focusing on Black and women’s history. The students have merged these lessons with what they see in the present day and created a celebration through their creations and crafts in an “all-city showcase.”\n\nThere will be a variety of exhibits and performances at businesses in the neighborhood for the community to enjoy.
